Fostoria Red Cross - Answering The Call
In the early morning hours of May 31, a category F2 tornado struck Fostoria. The Fostoria Red Cross Disaster Action Team was mobilized within an hour of the event and was on the scene providing food, shelter and other immediate needs to those affected by the storm. The Team also served over 600 meals to local first responders, work crews and the many families, friends and neighbors cleaning up after the storm.

Disaster Action Team members coordinated Red Cross activities with local fire, police and emergency officials, to make sure that everyone who needed assistance was contacted.

Many local businesses supported the Disaster Action Team with donations of goods and services, including: McDonalds, Kroger, Wendy's, Subway, Great Scot, Pizza Palace and Circle K. Thank you to all those who offered their help!
